Travel Infinite explained: benefits, limits and the fine print

Etiqa's Travel Infinite pays flight-delay compensation automatically, without a claim, and bundles COVID-19 cover into every plan. Here is what the Classic, Deluxe and Suite tiers each add.

Travel Infinite is Etiqa Insurance Singapore's flagship travel plan, sold in Classic, Deluxe and Suite tiers, as a single trip or annual multi-trip policy for individuals, families or groups of up to ten. Its standout feature relative to many competing plans is that flight delay compensation pays out automatically once a flight is delayed past the stated threshold, without the traveller needing to file a claim at all.

What the plan covers

Overseas medical expenses range from $200,000 up to $2.5 million depending on the tier, for adults under 70, with reduced limits from age 70 and up to $3 million available per family. Emergency medical evacuation is $500,000 on Classic, and unlimited on Deluxe and Suite, while repatriation of mortal remains is unlimited across all tiers. Trip cancellation and loss of deposit cover ranges from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on tier, for cancellations up to 30 days before departure, alongside a separate travel postponement benefit of $500 to $2,000.

The automatic flight delay benefit pays $50 for every 3 hours of delay, up to a tier-dependent limit of $1,000 to $3,000, credited without the traveller submitting a claim β€” a meaningful difference from plans that require documentation and a claim form for delay benefits. Baggage and personal effects cover, including laptops, ranges from $3,000 to $10,000, with baggage delay covered separately at $500 to $1,500.

COVID-19 cover is bundled into every tier, covering pre-trip cancellation up to $5,000, overseas medical up to $300,000, a quarantine allowance, evacuation up to $600,000, and on the Deluxe and Suite tiers, a post-trip hospitalisation payout. Adventure and leisure sports cover extends to activities such as hot air ballooning, parachuting, sky diving, bungee jumping, hang-gliding, paragliding, leisure scuba diving to 30 metres, and non-competitive winter sports, though extreme sports remain excluded across the plan.

Where the tiers, and zones, actually differ

Coverage is also split into three geographic zones: Zone 1 covers ASEAN, Zone 2 adds Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and Zone 3 is worldwide excluding a specific list of sanctioned countries. As with the tiers, the zone needs to match your actual itinerary independently of which tier you choose β€” a Zone 1 policy will not extend to a Zone 3 trip regardless of tier.

Beyond the core benefits, Travel Infinite bundles a wide range of extras that were added over time, including a Trip Disruption benefit added in August 2025, personal liability up to $1.5 million, home contents cover, rental vehicle excess cover, pet care, golf cover, sports equipment protection, overseas traditional Chinese medicine treatment, women's health benefits, a child education grant, a terrorism extension, and a free 30-day automatic extension if a trip runs long. Not every extra applies at every tier, so check the specific tier's benefit table rather than assuming every listed extra is universal.

What governs if there is a discrepancy

These figures are drawn from Etiqa's own published product page as retrieved in August 2026. Etiqa has issued more than one version of the Travel Infinite policy wording over time, including a version addressing COVID-19 specifically, so confirm which wording applies to your policy and treat that document, not the marketing page, as the final word if a figure appears to differ.

What to compare it against

The automatic, no-claim flight delay payout and the broad set of bundled extras are the features that most differentiate Travel Infinite from a simpler competing plan; whether they justify the price depends on how often you actually experience flight delays and whether benefits like pet care or rental vehicle excess are relevant to your travel pattern. Compare it against other current plans using our travel insurance comparison.

Talk to an advisor

Matching the right tier and zone to your itinerary, and deciding which of the many bundled extras are actually useful to you, is easier with a second opinion. A licensed advisor can check this against your specific trip. Find one through the portal's advisor matching, or ask our assistant about any benefit in the policy wording.
